Known Issues with EDE

Warning Error #5328 - This occurs in EDE versions 4.01.07 and prior when trying to add a date range or change a date range to a 2006 plan year end. The error will present itself as "Warning Error #5328: Invalid Date: The date is prior to 01/01/1900 or greater than 01/01/2010". To correct this error, install the latest version of the EDE.

Version Conflict - This occurs when the Microsoft setup is trying to copy a file that is older than is presently on the system. To resolve this conflict, click the Yes button when this error is presented during setup. This will keep the existing file that is currently on the system. This error may occur several times during setup.

File Registration Errors - This error occurs when the Microsoft setup encountered errors when trying to register system files. The error will present itself as "An error occurred while registering the file C:\WINNT\System32\xxxxxxxx.xxx" To resolve this error, click the Ignore button to continue setup. EDE setup will continue as normal. You will be given the "EDE setup completed successfully" message. Please note that this error will not affect the functionality of EDE.

File Access Violation Errors - This error occurs when the Microsoft setup encountered errors when trying to copy system files that are in use by the operating system. To resolve this error, click the Ignore button to continue setup. EDE setup will continue as normal. You will be given the "EDE setup completed successfully" message. Please note that this error will not affect the functionality of EDE.

Runtime Error 339 - When this error is generated it is usually accompanied by the following message: "Component xxxxx.ocx or one of it's dependants is not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid." This error message is caused by copying the root EDE folder from the originally installed location to a new location that has never had EDE installed. To correct this error, reinstall EDE from the original installation disk. If you do not have the original installation disk, please contact EDE Technical Support.

Runtime Error 3021

Runtime Error 3024 - This error is caused by copying the EDE directory to a PC that does not have a previous version of EDE installed. To correct this runtime error please contact EDE Technical Support to request the full 6.01.12 installation of EDE.

Runtime Error 3265 - This error is caused in EDE version 5.01.03 when a database is created with no census records. To correct this error, contact EDE Technical Support to request the full 6.01.12 installation of EDE.

Runtime Error 3633 - This error is caused by a Microsoft Access Jet conflict. EDE utilizes Access 2000 as the storage medium for client data. If a user has previous versions of Microsoft Access installed, this will cause EDE to behave erratically and generate the Runtime 3633 error.
